Even before finishing college, Abby Kelley knew she was destined for a career in real estate. After switching her major from math education to business, with a concentration in real estate, and interning for two residential brokerage firms, Abby was sold on her newfound profession. She purchased her first home at age 22 and completed her bachelors degree in 2010.
Abby began her real estate career as a loan officer, a position through which she honed her customer service and contract interpretation skills. She moved to Chicago in 2012, working as director of sales and marketing at a small residential brokerage. During that time, Abby helped increase the firms revenues by 500 percent, implementing new processes, improving customer service and developing a training program for the agents. She subsequently transitioned into brokerage, using her familiarity with the industry to deliver an exceptional level of service to clients.
Abby enjoys educating buyers and sellers about the various processes and negotiations associated with a home sale, carefully guiding her clients through purchase contracts and listing agreements while maintaining an open line of communication. She draws on her personal experiences as a young homebuyer when working with first-time purchasers, as well as her experiences as a Chicago transplant when advising renters. Abby recalls moving to Chicago without knowing where to live or how much it would cost, and she prides herself on her ability to help renters and buyers find their ideal neighborhoods and apartments. As a dog lover, she also enjoys working with clients who seek pet-friendly homes.
Abby is actively involved with the Chicago chapter alumnae board of her college sorority, Delta Gamma, serving as its vice president of finance. She enjoys visiting Chicagos newest restaurants; playing with Jax, her 2-year-old beagle mix; and reading.
